The dog chose the perfect home! Dan Van Coppenolle, the owner of the house, posted an image on Facebook as soon as he saw the dog, to catch the attention of the animal lovers.

The dog clearly had advanced and severe mange and was starving. Soon, Dan’s post was spreading among animal rescuers in the area and after some fast and furious networking Dan had good news to share, the dog found a rescuer.

“Thank you all for your compassion,” Dan wrote in a subsequent post. “A kind woman who fosters unhealthy dogs just came to pick up this beautiful dog. A friend of the foster caregiver posted a few photos of him after he was washed and cleaned up.

He is currently in the care of an experienced rehabilitator and has gone to see a vet.
