For 10 years, Kratos the Pit Bull had been living happily with his family in Tulsa, writes ilovemydogsomuch
However, the senior dog went missing last Christmas when he went out on his regular bathroom break. His family looked for him everywhere, but there was no trace of Kratos.
After 7 months, the devastated family found a video of a shelter dog named “Walter” who resembled Kratos, but only had 3 legs. The family requested the volunteers to try calling him by the name “Kratos”. The volunteers were shocked to see the dog respond to “Kratos”, and immediately realized that he was the beloved family pooch!
The volunteers explained to the family about how Kratos was found after falling off a retaining wall along the freeway. The vets put a pin on his broken hind leg, but his body rejected the pin. Eventually, the poor dog’s leg had to be amputated.
Mom Renee Mccaskill is glad to have her baby back. Kratos has had quite the journey and he is exhausted now. Renee hopes to give him all her love and care, and help him recover in the comfort of his home. She thanks the shelter for being Kratos’ rescue angels in crisis. We wish Kratos a quick recovery!
