They rescued the dog who gave birth on the sidewalk and cared for her puppies till she passed away

After being abandoned by her owner after discovering she was unintentionally pregnant, a dog who gave birth to her pups on the sidewalk has had to confront the worst reality, writes pitbullworld

Her owner left her in his car and drove miles away from her residence, leaving her in a location she couldn’t return, with no intention of taking responsibility or providing her with the care she required.

The dog was on the brink of death as she tried to give birth to save her pups.

Unfortunately, there are many dogs that have to live this situation in the hands of irresponsible owners who end up throwing them away as if it were an old piece of furniture.

The days passed and the brave mother did everything possible to survive, pregnant and living on the streets, her health worsened with the days.

Many were indifferent to her tragedy, only a good Samaritan offered her help.

After trying to carry her pregnancy to term, she managed to give birth lying in a cardboard box. Almost unconscious, the mother used what little strength she had to protect her young.

The brave mother gave birth to six cubs but sadly two of them did not survive. In the midst of her tragedy she tried to keep the rest of the litter warm and fed, but she was too tired to fight alone.

No animal should suffer the folly of man.

It wasn’t until a passerby took pity and called a woman who lives near the area and helps the animals, that the mother could feel a little calmer.

However, it was not easy to gain the mother’s trust, at first she did not let anyone get close to her, much less her young; if they tried to get close he would attack them, understandably taking out his protective instinct.

Finally, the dog understood that no one would harm her or her babies, she calmed down and accepted the help of her rescuers.

They were quickly transferred to a veterinary clinic where they received the medical attention they needed, the mother was very weak but would be able to recover if she received the treatment. The puppies had to spend the next 48 hours in observation to determine if they survived or not.

Incredibly, the remaining four puppies survived and each day they gain weight thanks to the fact that their mother is feeding well and can provide them with all the milk they need.

The dog must follow a special diet, it is vital that she consumes all the nutrients to prosper and achieve an absolute recovery after her traumatic experience due to her owner.

The family is happy, soon they will be given up for adoption.

Thanks to the generosity of a passerby and the incredible work of her rescuer, the entire furry family is safe and sound. However, we are saddened to know that there are little dogs that must put up with the worst treatment.

How can it be possible that people have no compassion for the dogs that have lives within them? What they did to this mother has no name. And hopefully this story serves to touch hearts and raise awareness.
