Woman Finds Garbage Bag On Side Of The Road. When She Opens It, Two Big Eyes Are Staring Back At Her

Malissa Lewis was on her way to work in Harlan, Kentucky when she saw a black trash bag on the side of the road, writes ilovemydogsomuch

This wouldn’t have been that unusual except this trash bag was moving! She pulled over to look inside the bag and what she found was unbelievable!

Two dark eyes were staring right back at her! A puppy, that had been discarded like trash, was elated to see Lewis. His tail went crazy! He said “thank you” to his rescuer in his own special way. Being trapped inside that dark bag must’ve been so scary. He knew this was his lucky day!

Lewis checked him over to see if he was injured. Surprisingly, the puppy seemed okay. Lewis took him home and named him “Hefty” in honor of where he was found.

What’s amazing is that Lewis took a different route to work that day. Imagine if she didn’t travel down that road. What would have happened to poor Hefty?

Lewis and her family officially adopted the sweet dog. He is spoiled rotten (like he should be!) He has tons of toys, all the food a healthy dog should eat, and loads of affection. He never has to worry about being unwanted ever again.
