Fortunately, for one forsaken dog tied out in the cold, Christmas became a turning point in his life when a compassionate individual crossed his path, offering him a second chance at happiness.
NYPD Officer Michael Pascale came across the trembling canine during his duty on Christmas day. Fear-stricken and shivering, the dog sought shelter from the biting winds.
As Pascale gazed into the dog’s eyes, he felt an instant connection and knew he had found a family member. In a matter of moments, the once drenched and exposed dog found himself in the warm embrace of his rescuer’s home.
Pascale affectionately named his newfound companion Joey and now shares their heartwarming story with the intention of raising awareness about abandoned dogs. He hopes that by shedding light on the plight of these animals, people will realize the profound impact of deserting their pets and the subsequent struggle these faithful creatures face in finding their place in the world after being forsaken by their own families.
